Ode to Joy      96" square

 

The inspiration for this design came as I was hand appliqueing my In the Garden quilt.  This is a first for me.  This design uses the same floral applique, however, they have been enlarged to 129% of the original to fit in these lovely baskets.  The name for this quilt went through a few changes over time, but in keeping with the original, it too is named for a favorite hymn of praise, Ode to Joy. 

 

Scripture tells us "The joy of the Lord is our strength."  I've found this to be absolutely true no matter what comes my way.
